Mercedes AMG C-Coupé DTM 2014


El último de los participantes en esta temporada 2014 del DTM es el Mercedes AMG C-Coupe DTM, un vehículo que evoluciona del C-Coupé de la temporada pasada y que ha de permitir a Mercedes volver a estar en la lucha por el título. Para ello cuenta con siete pilotos en pista repartidos en sus dos equipos (HWA Team y Mücke Motorsport). Se trata de un buen plantel de pilotos que mezcla experiencia en grandes competiciones (di Resta o Paffet) con juventud y ganas de triunfar (Juncadella o Wehrlein).

Al igual que sus competidores, este Mercedes ha mejorado notablemente el aspecto aerodinámico. El trabajo se ha centrado optimizar el flujo de aire desde el frontal hacia los laterales del coche y en la mejora del fondo plano y del difusor trasero. El lateral del vehículo ha cambiado notablemente con la inclusión de numerosas aletas además de utilizar el soporte del espejo retrovisor como elemento aerodinámico.


El hecho de contar con muchos elementos comunes como el chasis y el motor hacen que la igualdad en la categoría sea notable. A pesar de ello, hemos visto en las primeras carreras que este Mercedes no está a la altura de los Audi ni los BMW, por lo que tendrán que realizar numerosas mejoras sobre el coche para poder revertir la situación.

  1. They are great looking cars, up after watching qualifying for round 2 they are sooooo slow. It may be a long season for the three pointed star.

    1. They have many things to change in this car. I think there is no enough time to improve so much the car but Mercedes is the one that can do that.
