Con el Dodge Challenger SRT os traemos uno de los mas icónicos y espectaculares ponycars, con sus dos versiones mas potentes del mercado desde el 2008 el SRT y el SRT Hellcat traen consigo mas potencia para que su comportamiento en carretera sea mas deportivo si cabe.
Algunas de las diferencias entre el modelo SRT y el SRT Hellcat son el capó de aluminio del SRT, el faldón trasero mas voluminoso del Hellcat y un splitter frontal mas grande, los faros también han sido rediseñados para darle un aspecto mas sofisticado, los pilotos LED o las llantas que en el caso del Hellcat son negras.
Pero sin duda la principal diferencia la encontramos bajo el capó, el SRT presenta el motor 392 HEMI de 6.4 litros frente al Supercharged HEMI Hellcat de 6.2 litros del Hellcat, ambos cuentan con un bloque V8 pero la gran diferencia radica en que el HEMI V8 del Hellcat esta sobrealimentado con un compresor lo que hace ascender la potencia desde 490cv del modelo SRT a 717cv, lo que le convierte en el mas potente de los fabricados hasta ahora por la marca Chrysler.
Pero esto no es todo la marca esta estudiando la incorporación de un compresor volumetrico Eaton de tipo roots y un sistema de doble turboalimentacion HPS que proporcionaría hasta un total de 805cv, aunque tendremos que esperar unos años para ver si se hace realidad.
Los dos modelos tiene incorporados los mismos modos de conducción (Sport, Track, Custom o personalizable) dándole a ambos una gran versatilidad a la hora de conducir y llegando a acelerar de 0-100 km/h en 3.6 segundos, estos modos pueden modificar la respuesta de la dirección, suspensión o incluso el motor, ya que en ambos se puede limitar la potencia.
Los frenos de ambos son de disco, tanto en la parte delantera como en la trasera, montando unos Brembo de 6 pistones delante y 4 detrás, cuentan con servofrenos con asistencia hidráulica, Es el mayor equipo jamas ofrecido por el modelo, los discos de 390/350 mm de diámetro según la marca aguantan mejor el calor, son mas longevos y tienen una gestión térmica superior a cualquier otro.
En cuanto al interior ambos modelos están equipados con asientos de cuero premium Laguna SRT eléctricos y calefactados, volante deportivo térmico plano de cuero, pantalla de navegación de 7 pulgadas con modo de manejo configurable y a todo esto se le puede incorporar techo corredizo eléctrico.
Por todo esto las cifras de venta del Challenger ya han adelantado a su hermano el Camaro llegando a superar las 40.000 unidades. Su precio de venta es de $50.000 para el SRT y de $64.000 para el Hellcat.
